Brazil

Brazil, a vast South American country, stretches from the Amazon Basin in the north to vineyards and massive Iguaçu Falls in the south. Brazil’s economy is the largest of Latin America and the second largest in the Americas.

The capital is Brasilia, a planned city distinguished by its white, modern architecture, chiefly designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Laid out in the shape of an airplane, its “fuselage” is the Monumental Axis.

The currency is Brazilian real and the official language is Portuguese.

India and Brazil share a very close and multifaceted relationship at bilateral as well as plurilateral fora such as IBSA, BRICS, BASIC, G-20, G-4 or the larger multilateral arena such as the UN, WTO, UNESCO, WIPO, etc.
