Women represent half of the world’s population, and against the framework of the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, it becomes imperative to work towards women’s empowerment. With this objective, All India Association of Industries established Women Entrepreneurs’ Council (AIAIWEC) as the division of AIAI in 2001.
AIAI is a prestigious trade association, aims to promote entrepreneurship and facilitate industrial growth. Under the dynamic leadership of Late Mr. Babubhai M. Chinai (Member of Parliament), AIAI was established in 1956 and today under the vision and guidance of its President Mr. Vijay Kalantri, AIAI is proud to distinguish itself as the premier association working with Union and several State Governments in trade promotion and facilitation.
AIAI membership spans across wide spectrum of industries with a strength of over 1400 direct membership and over 60 affiliated regional Chambers and trade bodies with an indirect membership of over 50,000.
With over 16 years of existence, AIAIWEC has over 200 members. It has been continuously promoting entrepreneurship and social excellence among women through seminars, interactions, conferences, skill development programms, innovation and capacity building. Its aim is to design and influence policies directing towards women and helping them realise their true potential.
