“India Japanese Relationship Set to Grow.” – Shri. Mangal Prabhat Lodha (Maharashtra Minister for Tourism & Skill Development).

The Japan Festival celebrated at The World Trade Center Mumbai, during the Conference cum Exhibition organized by the Indo Japanese Association, Minister of Tourism, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Women & Child Development Government of Maharashtra Shri. Mangal Prabhat odha expressed optimism over the growth of Trade and Relationship between Japan and India. Mr. Lodha, said, there exist substantial scope and opportunities to strengthen relations with Japan in the field of Industrial and Economic Development. He said, Japan since several years, has been involved in key infrastructure projects in Maharashtra such as building Mumbai Delhi Industrial Corridor (DMIC), Bullet Train and so forth.

The Minister further said, the prospects of three-fold increase in growth of Tourism and Cultural exchanges between Japan and India. Japan has been a natural partner of India for centuries as their culture, philosophy and values matches with India. He saw good future to investments between
Japan and India. He said he would be glad to work with his Japanese counterpart to strengthen ties for mutual benefits in the field of Tourism and Economic relations.

The Consul General of Japan Dr. Yasukata Fukahori, while delivering his speech at the event, said that Japan is keen to work closely with the State of Maharashtra as part of their overall building up of relations with India to help develop Tourism and Economic Development. He appreciated that
Maharashtra is a strategically vital State of India which is conducive for large scale Trade and Investment. He looked forward to assisting the Industry in Maharashtra.

Other prominent speakers at the event were Dr. Vijay Kalantri, President of All India Association of Industries (AIAI) who is also the Chairman of MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai, Mr. Mehool N Bhuva, Chairman of The Indo Japanese Association and Mr. Tatsumi Konda, General Manager
Marubeni who express confidence over close co-operation to boost trade and investment between India and Japan.

The Exhibition organized widely displayed products of Japan in the fields of Electronics, Stationery, Printing, Food as well as creative display of Bonsai and Ikebana. This event has drawn good response from many people from all walks of life for two days.
