The All India Association of Industries (AIAI) and the World Trade Center Mumbai (WTC Mumbai) co-hosted a focused session on commercial exports in partnership with India Post. The high-profile gathering was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Vijay Kalantri, President, AIAI and Chairman, WTC Mumbai; Captain Somesh Batra, Vice Chairman, WTC Mumbai; Mr. Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle; Ms. Sangeeta Jain, Senior Director, All India Association of Industries; Ms. Priya Pansare, Director, Trade and Investment Promotion, WTC Mumbai; and Mr. Santosh Kotre, Director, Finance, Accounts and Admin, WTC Mumbai.
The event commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by the dignitaries, symbolizing new beginnings for Indian exporters. Ms. Priya Pansare welcomed over a hundred industry professionals, MSME exporters, business representatives, and India Post officials.

Dr. Kalantri emphasized the synergy generated when the vast WTC Mumbai network collaborates with the extensive India Post network, offering exporters unmatched global market connectivity and transparent, efficient procedures. He also highlighted India Post’s low-cost and excellent delivery service, which adds great value to exporters. He encouraged the trade community to leverage postal export solutions and underscored the importance of building bridges between industry and postal services to benefit all stakeholders. The session exemplified a spirit of togetherness, championing outreach and collaboration to help MSMEs compete internationally and diversify their reach.
Mr. Amitabh Singh highlighted India Post as a trusted partner with a remarkable legacy spanning 170 years. Recently, the finance minister recognized India Post’s key role as a logistics enabler, underscoring its growing importance in facilitating exports and supporting India’s economic growth. He emphasized India Post’s pivotal role in enabling logistics for small exporters and businesses, particularly in connecting rural areas to global markets. The primary strengths driving this success include India Post’s strong ground-level presence and economical services.
Mr. Sudhir Jakhere, Assistant Postmaster General at India Post, and Mr. Vipul Mandlesha from India Post, in their key presentation, underscored the role of India Post in enabling cost-effective, simplified exports for MSMEs. They spoke about India Post’s diversified services, its approachable and efficient operations, and the significant scale it offers. The presentation highlighted access via international business centers, streamlined customs processes, robust track-and-trace systems, and new schemes that promote transparency, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced operational efficiency.
