AIAI welcomes the abolition of LBT

All India Association of Industries (AIAI) welcomes the announcement made by Mr. Devendra FadnavisHon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra to  abolish the Local Body Tax (LBT) without waiting for Goods and Service Tax (GST)  to come in force,  is a welcome move and will boost the morale of trade and industry and investment climate  in the State of Maharashtra said  Mr. Vijay Kalantri,  President of  All India Association of Industries (AIAI) .

AIAI further welcomes the Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis’s decision to boost the “Make in  Maharashtra” scheme  by creating cluster hubs to attract investment to the tune of Rs 5 Lakh crores. Besides the decision to promote the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project on a priority basis will contribute to the State’s manufacturing sector with the much required impetus, specially with the development of Dighi Port in Raigad district and Shendre-Bidkin industrial zone in Aurangabad district. Also the State Government’s intentions to promote the manufacturing sector by de-centralizing it will go a long way in giving the State the much required economic boost.

This announcement comes as a very ambitious move and will once again rank Maharashtra as the premier Industrial State in the country added Mr. Kalantri.
