AIAI feels Budget should lay more emphasis on Infrastructure spending 

Various initiative taken by the State Government to boost the Agro sector   is keeping in line with the Centre’s budget, there is a need to give a thrust on more expenditure on the Infrastructure sector said Mr. Vijay Kalantri President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI).

AIAI feels in view of the state inviting investments in Industry and Maritimes sector it is essential to increase planned expenditure in regard with infrastructure facilities such as Road, Power, Water and better communication.

Mr. Kalantri is also of the opinion that surcharge on petrol and diesel as well as increase in VAT should be withdrawn. Moreover the fiscal and industrial policies should co-relate for betterment of the industry and to enhance employment generation, exports and manufacturing growth targets, which is most important for scaling the economic growth to 8 to 10%.
