“The newly elected Modi Government has completed nearly 100 days of existence. The progress of the new Government has been under scrutiny by the nation. The progress of the Government towards encouraging domestic manufacturing is noteworthy. Also, infrastructure development of Roads, Ports and Power has been the forefront agenda of the Government. Lastly, steps towards calming inflationary pressures in the economy have been well taken by one and all”, said Mr. Vijay Kalantri, President, All India Association of Industries (AIAI) in his reaction towards the progress of the newly formed Modi Government.
The All India Association of Industries believes that the Modi Government must stick to its pro-growth agenda thereby laying foundations for a strong economy. If the Government is to abide by its pro-growth measures, GDP growth of 5.5% to 6% is achievable. A growing economy in turn will give impetus to the manufacturing sector, the MSMEs and its infrastructural status.
Lastly, Mr. Kalantri commended the recent initiatives of the Modi Government to do away with the Planning Commission and other obsolete laws which has made doing business in India easier and investor friendly.
